• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    Differences between men and women

This is pretty cool. It's a 7-minute mini-documentary about the portrayals of men and women in Disney movies. My god, Gaston is scary. The fact he's portrayed as a bad character doesn't come close to justifying all the "I'm going to rape you now" hints and the fact he doesn't get that no means no.

This might be going slightly off-topic here, but in regard to the pink=girly thing, I kinda agree. Pink's just a lighter shade of red, which has been accosicated with masculinity since ancient times - Mars is the red planet associated with war, and Mar's symbol is the upward-pointing arrow...

Nah, I read that the Y chomosone is having funky stuff happen to it somewhere, too. Uuuh, the book may have been called something like "The End of Men" or "The Fall of Man" or something, but Amazon's not showing me anything useful. The book definetly exists, but I'm not sure how scientifically...

    Differences between men and women

No, I think gender (as we see it) is almost entirely socially constructed; from the moment of birth, people are bombarded with society's expectations and subconsously adhere to them. A friend of my mother had a baby son last week and when we went over to visit them, the room was full of blue...
